WELCOME TO ARONA

There are projects that you grow fond of right from the very beginning, and Arona, by the Compañía Pieles, is one of them.

Having a show carry the name of our municipality also comes with a great responsibility. Outside of the Canary Islands, Arona is known as one of the islands' major tourist destinations, but those of us who live here know that this municipality has many more stories to tell. These are stories tied to the land, the sea, our elders, traditional trades, music, and a way of life that remains a part of who we are. For this reason, I am especially pleased that a Canarian company like Pieles has found the Infanta Leonor Auditorium in Los Cristianos to be the perfect place to bring our culture closer to those who visit us, while at the same time allowing us Canarians to view it from a different perspective.

We believe that tourism can also serve a purpose: ensuring that those who arrive in Arona do not leave just with a photograph of our beaches, but with a deeper knowledge of the place they have visited, of the Canary Islands, and of the people who have built these islands and their identity. And for those of us from here, it is an invitation to take another look at things that we might have too close to us and sometimes take for granted. From the Arona Town Hall, we are delighted to welcome you to this beautiful and meticulously crafted project and, above all, to invite you to enjoy it.
